Core Security Names Robert Steinkrauss to Board of Directors.

Network Security Veteran Joins Board of Penetration Testing Software Leader

BOSTON -- Core Security Technologies, provider of CORE IMPACT, the first-to-market penetration testing product for assessing specific information security risks, today announced that security industry veteran Robert Steinkrauss has joined its board of directors. With over 35 years of executive leadership, Steinkrauss brings to Core Security extensive experience in managing publicly and privately held companies in the information security, networking and telecommunications industries. He will provide strategic guidance on the growth and development of the company as it continues to bring innovative security technologies to market.

Steinkrauss most recently served as president, chairman and CEO of Ingrian Networks, Inc., which offers a security technology that encrypts critical data in applications, files and databases. He is also currently a finalist for the Ernst & Young "Entrepreneur of the Year" for Northern California.

Prior to Ingrian Networks, he held various executive positions that include:

* Chairman of the board of Authentica, a provider of content security software, which was subsequently sold to EMC in 2006.

* Vice president and general manager of the WAN systems group at Lucent Technologies, where he was responsible for all aspects of this $250 million division.

* President and CEO of Xedia Corporation, where he oversaw the company's revenue growth from $500,000 to $15 million over two years and sold the company to Lucent for $246 million.

* Chairman, president and CEO of Raptor Systems, where he brought the company public in 1996, boosting revenue 273% year-over-year. In 1998, he was part of the team that sold Raptor Systems to Axent Technologies for $240 million. During this time he was an Ernst & Young "Entrepreneur of the Year" finalist in 1997 for the New England region.

Additionally, he was the senior vice president and chief financial officer of Racal Milgo, Inc. Steinkrauss has also held international general management positions in Europe and Mexico with Unitrode. Steinkrauss received a B.S. in accounting from Boston College, graduating magna cum laude.
