Core Integration Wins Bid to Build Data Warehouse for Colorado Department of Corrections; Warehouse Will Enable System-Wide Sharing Of Inmate Clinical Information.

Core Integration Partners, Inc., a full-service provider of software and consulting solutions for data movement, integration and warehousing, has been selected by the Colorado Department of Corrections (CDOC) to design and construct a data warehouse to provide shared access to inmate clinical information across all of the state prison system's multiple facilities.

Once the warehouse is constructed, the clinical data, currently only available in the standard transactional systems, will be easily accessible by end users, facilitating the ability for the IT department to deliver complete analytics.

The Clinical Services Data Mart is the first data warehouse project undertaken by CDOC, and it is one of the first implementations within a Colorado state organization of Core Integration's proprietary data movement methodology, The Matrix Methodology (TMM(TM)), which provides a rapid and cost-effective process for building a data warehouse across any industry.

The warehousing project will involve the integration of all clinical records for CDOC's more than 16,000 inmates located in 23 different prisons across the state.

As the first step in the process, CDOC purchased the Informatica PowerMart(R) tool from Core Integration, which is a premier authorized value added reseller of this industry-standard extraction, transformation and load (ETL) software. Then, late this winter, Core was awarded the CDOC bid to design and build the clinical services data warehouse.

A major benefit of CDOC's selection of The Matrix Methodology is that it is a flexible, plug-n-play solution that will allow for future growth in data warehousing applications elsewhere in the state prison system.
