DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 15, 1996--CORDEX PETROLEUMS INC. (TSE:
CZX.A) CORDEX Petroleums Inc. announces the sale of its Louisiana
producing properties for effective consideration of US $2,000,000.
Although the Corporation retains carried interests in certain United
States producing fields, sale of this property effectively accomplishes
disposition of the Corporation's remaining working interests in
North American properties, allowing CORDEX to focus exclusively on its
South American assets.
