Corbis Previews Roosevelt, Leonardo Da Vinci Titles at E3; New CD-ROMs Scheduled to Ship This Fall.


BELLEVUE, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 7, 1996--Corbis Corporation announced today that it will preview two CD-ROM CD-ROM: see compact disc.

The new titles, now under development, will focus on Franklin Delano Roosevelt (FDR) and Leonardo da Vinci Leonardo da Vinci (də vĭn`chē, Ital. lāōnär`dō dä vēn`chē), 1452–1519, Italian painter, sculptor, architect, musician, engineer, and scientist, b. near Vinci, a hill village in Tuscany. . Both titles are slated for release in the fourth quarter of 1996.

The FDR CD-ROM will explore the lifetime and leadership of Franklin Delano Roosevelt. The title will feature cinematic tours that capture the most dramatic events of Roosevelt's presidency and interactive explorations of locations that were significant to the Roosevelts, including the White House and Hyde Park Hyde Park, park, London, England

The writings and drawings of the Codex Leicester serve as a window into the thoughts of this complex and prolific genius. Expert commentary and detailed studies of the entire manuscript reveal how Leonardo's examination of nature inspired his paintings and inventions. Cinematic tours, works of art, interactive experiments, and the unique "Codescope" viewing and translation tool will allow users to explore Leonardo's visionary observations and his profound influence on the modern world.
