The Corbis system utilizes an Asset Management System provided by VideoBank, a software development company. Using the Asset Management system, Corbis Motion and their customers have the ability to search the footage library, made up of various digital tape formats, view the streaming proxy video, build collections, and deliver high quality clips in a variety of professional broadcast formats. Upon selection of the desired footage, users may purchase it delivered in either Digital or Analog formats. The Corbis Motion footage library is digitally encoded into broadcast quality using the Optibase MPEG MovieMaker 200S encoders, under the control of the VideoBank Encode/Logger application. The material is logged with attributes assigned to each shot. The VideoBank application automates the transcoding of the MPEG-2 asset into various frame-accurate streaming formats, such as MPEG-1 and Windows Media Microsoft's audio and video framework for Windows, which embraces playback, encoding and streaming. Windows Media Player is the digital jukebox and media player that comes with every version of Windows.  format.
