Coral Systems names Jeffry W. Phillips director of Radio Frequency Products.

LONGMONT, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 10, 1995--Coral Systems has appointed Jeffry W. Phillips to the newly created position of director of Radio Frequency Products.

He will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans utilizing RF and signal processing technologies to broaden and strengthen Coral's ability to offer more creative and cost-effective solutions to its customers.

Phillips is an expert in the creation, development and implementation of RF signature technology which has a variety of uses in both defense applications as well as commercial applications for the wireless industry, primarily in the area of fraud detection.

Prior to joining Coral, Phillips was the managing director of the Wireless Communications Business Area for ESL Inc. (a TRW company). His role was on developing a new business area in the commercial industry for ESL that focused on products that provide `pre-call' wireless fraud detection.

He prepared strategies and plans to launch the new business, developed and adopted Special Emitter Indentification (SEI) technology to RF technology to address the wireless fraud problem, built customer alliance programs, and recruited key personnel.

During the 1980's and into the 1990's, Phillips won rapid recognition for his work in defense surveillance systems, with concentrations in satellite and radio communications signal acquisition and monitoring, geopositioning and gelocation as well as operational analysis.

Phillips holds a BS Degree from Huboldt State University and earned an MA Degree at San Jose State University.
