Cora E. (Benson) Parsons.


BERLIN - Cora E. (Benson) Parsons, 87, formerly of 135 Pleasant St., died on Thursday, April 24, at Marlboro Hospital after a brief illness.

She is survived by her loving son, John R. Parsons and his wife, Eileen, of West Boylston; a sister Hazel Straight of Port Henry, N.Y.; two sisters-in-law, Irene Benson and Frances Benson of Richford, Vt.; five grandchildren, Kelly D. Parsons and Amy Jo Allen of Oklahoma, John Parsons John Parsons could refer to:

  • John T. Parsons, a pioneer in Numerical control for machine tools.
 and his wife, Linda, of Lancaster, April Weeks and her husband, John, of Clinton, and Vaughn Parsons and his wife, Liana liana (lēä`nə) or liane (lēän`), name for any climbing plant that roots in the ground. , of Lancaster; three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, John W. Parsons, and her son, Frank G. Parsons.

Mrs. Parsons was born in Richford, Vt., to the late Sam and Mabel (Handy) Benson, attended local schools and was a graduate of the Richford High School. Primarily a homemaker, she held employment early in her career as a manager with the Richford Country Club.

She mostly devoted her time and efforts into volunteer work with local hospitals and nursing homes. Cora held membership and was an active member with the Richford United Methodist Church United Methodist Church, in the United States, religious body formed by the union in 1968 of the Evangelical United Brethren Church and the Methodist Church (see Methodism). . She was an avid gardener and cherished time spent with her loving family.
