) today announced that Mark D. Perrin has joined the Company as Executive Vice President, Commercial Operations. In this newly created position, Mr. Perrin will be responsible for all aspects of commercialization and marketing and will report directly to the Company's President and CEO, Vaughn M. Kailian.

Most recently, Mr. Perrin, age 39, served as Vice President, Marketing and Sales of Burroughs Wellcome Company, from 1992 to 1995. In this capacity, he was responsible for management of all marketing and sales operations for Burroughs Wellcome in the United States. From 1979 to 1992, he held various sales and marketing positions at Lederle Laboratories/American Cyanamid cy·an·am·ide also cy·an·am·id
