AS DELHI tries to ready itself for the Commonwealth Games Commonwealth games, series of amateur athletic meets held among citizens of countries in the Commonwealth of Nations. But an anonymous complaint that reached police commissioner Y. S. Dadwal pointed fingers at policemen at the airport police station.

" An inquiry was ordered into the allegations against the staff of the police station and the investigating team videographed the goings- on at the airport. It turned out that the cops stationed at the airport were simply acting as bystanders," a police officer said.

What angered the police brass even more was that three of the erring constables had been specially deputed to prevent touts from operating at the Indira Gandhi International Airport Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport (IATA: DEL, ICAO: VIDP), located in the city of New Delhi, Delhi is one of India's main domestic and international gateways. .

When contacted, joint commissioner of police ( operations) Satyendra Garg confirmed that " action had been taken against the SHO, Inspector Raj Kumar, and some other staff, who have been suspended".
