(TM), today announced the expansion of its management team with the promotion of Rajat Roy to vice president of engineering, and the appointments of John Yin to vice president of technology and Michael Maniglia to vice president of channels.

The announcement reflects CopperCom's continued commitment to building an organization based on world-class talent and signals its readiness for rapid growth at the forefront of the hot Voice over DSL market.

About the New Executives

Vice President of Engineering Rajat Roy has extensive experience in the development and delivery of hardware, software and test engineering, and has been with CopperCom since its inception. He was instrumental in developing CopperCom's full suite of Voice over DSL products that deliver up to 16 voice lines plus high-speed data, simultaneously, over a single copper pair in the local loop.

Roy joined CopperCom from the Network Products Division of Advanced Micro Devices (AMD (Advanced Micro Devices, Inc., Sunnyvale, CA, www.amd.com) A major manufacturer of semiconductor devices including x86-compatible CPUs, embedded processors, flash memories, programmable logic devices and networking chips. ) where he managed engineering teams in the design and development of 10/100 and gigabit ethernet An Ethernet standard that transmits at 1 Gbps. . Roy has also held development positions at Intel and Siemens. He holds an MS in computer science from the University of Southwest Louisiana and a BS in electrical engineering from Jadavpur University in India.

Vice President of Channels Michael Maniglia is responsible for worldwide channels at CopperCom. He has more than 20 years experience in the networking and computer industries. He has held senior level management positions in sales, business development, marketing, customer support and operations at Cisco Systems, Vertical Networks, FORE Systems, ARIX Corporation, Motorola Computer Systems and Four-Phase.

Maniglia spearheaded the channel sales and channel business development efforts at Cisco Systems, Vertical Networks, and FORE Systems. His channel experience includes developing channel and sales strategies for Telco, VAR, System Integrator, OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) The rebranding of equipment and selling it. The term initially referred to the company that made the products (the "original" manufacturer), but eventually became widely used to refer to the organization that buys the products and  and Two-Tier distribution channels. Prior to joining CopperCom, Maniglia served as Vice-President of Channels and Vice-President of Sales at Vertical Networks.

Vice President of Technology John Yin has spent the past 14 years serving the information industry with an emphasis on information systems engineering and technical management. He brings a thorough and complete knowledge of computer and communication systems, network infrastructure and services, hardware and software systems engineering process and general executive management experience.

Prior to joining CopperCom, Yin was a founder and the Chief Technical Officer of RedCreek Communications where he was instrumental in establishing strategic partnerships, and in some cases, corporate investments with Cisco, HP, @Home, Secure Computing, Microsoft and many other companies. This activity led to the successful operational introduction of www.whitehouse.gov by Vice-President Gore in 1994. Yin holds an MS in Computer Science and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Santa Clara University.
