Copper Awards shortlist.Judges for the 2005 Copper in Architecture Awards under the chairmanship of AR editor Paul Finch finch, common name for members of the Fringillidae, the largest family of birds (including over half the known species), found in most parts of the world except Australia. have announced their choice of shortlisted projects. This well-regarded design-led competition has been expanded this year to include a new special award for European projects. [ILLUSTRATION OMITTED] From 19 European entries from 11 countries, six projects have been shortlisted: Erick van Egeraat's Popstage Mezz in Breda, Netherlands (AR July 2003); Janos Megyk's Debrecen University in Hungary; Staab Architekten's Munich service centre in Germany; Kari Jarvinen Ja Merja Nieminen's Laajasalo Church in Finland; Tilla Theus und Partner's Ice Hockey ice hockey: see hockey, ice. ice hockey Game played on an ice rink by two teams of six players on skates. The object is to drive a puck (a small, hard rubber disk) into the opponents' goal with a hockey stick, thus scoring one point.
