Copa Nissan Sudamericana is an international football cup competition that started in 2002, and is second only to the Copa Libertadores in importance for South American club teams. The winner of Copa Nissan Sudamericana faces the Copa Libertadores' champion the following year in the Recopa Sudamericana tournament (the South American equivalent to UEFA's Super Cup).
