Copa Airlines Reports 95.2% On-Time Performance for First Quarter 2005; Airline's Rate is Among the Best in the World.

PANAMA CITY, Panama -- Copa Airlines reported an on-time performance of 95.2 percent for first quarter 2005, one of the best on-time performance ratings in the airline industry worldwide. In addition, for nine consecutive weeks during that period, the airline completed 100 percent of its flights without cancellations, both within Panama and to the other destinations where Copa flies.

During 2004, Copa achieved a cumulative on-time performance level above 92 percent. The airline measures on-time performance utilizing the U.S. Department of Transportation industry standard, which consists of a maximum 15-minute variation from the scheduled arrival time.
