Copa Airlines Receives Export-Import Bank Loan Guarantees for Boeing 737-700 Aircraft Purchase.

Copa Airlines announced today that it has received loan guarantees from the Export-Import Bank of the United States Export-Import Bank of the United States (Ex-Im Bank)

This is the second time Ex-Im Bank has issued loan guarantees on behalf of Copa Airlines for the purchase of Boeing aircraft. In 2000, Copa Airlines purchased and took delivery of four Boeing 737-700 aircraft from The Boeing Company for which Ex-Im Bank also provided loan guarantees.

Ex-Im Bank Vice Chairman Eduardo Aguirre Eduardo Aguirre, Jr. (born July 30, 1946, in Cuba)[1] is the United States Ambassador to Spain and Andorra, appointed by President George W. Bush, confirmed by the United States Senate on June 16, 2005, and sworn in on June 24, 2005.  Jr. stated that "Ex-Im Bank is delighted to support U.S. aircraft exports, which are integral to Copa's fleet strategy, the development of Panama's transportation infrastructure, and helping sustain U.S. jobs at The Boeing Company and thousands of sub-suppliers around the country."
