As part of the Centennial celebration, Panama will be the center of numerous cultural, artistic and sports activities and Copa will serve as the Official Airline of the celebration.

The airline will take delivery of a new airplane in December, bringing its fleet total to 12 Boeing 737-700 aircraft. This delivery will complete the first phase of the fleet renovation plan begun in 1999. Continuing its expansion plan, in August of this year, Copa Airlines announced acquisition of up to 12 Boeing 737 Next Generation aircraft. The new order, delivery of which will begin in October 2003, guarantees the growth of the airline and its "Hub of the Americas" in Panama City.

Copa's Boeing 737-700 seats 124 passengers, 12 in Business Class (Clase Ejecutiva) and 112 in the main cabin. The aircraft offers spacious interiors with larger overhead compartments, variable-position seats with adjustable "wing" headrests, and 12 entertainment channels for audio and video.
