Cop walks with hero on last day.


A POLICE officer has told of his "dream" last day in the job - escorting Tom Watson round Turnberry.

Golf fanatic PC Jim McGarry, 52, is retiring after 30 years' service with the Strathclyde force.

He said yesterday: "It's pretty much the highlight of my career on my last day.

"When my inspector told me I would be escorting the final pairing on the final day, I was in dreamland dream·land
