Cop plea over OAP murder.


POLICE hunting the killer of a 77-year-old woman yesterday appealed for help from joggers and ramblers.

Georgina Edmonds, who lived alone, had been battered to death.

She suffered serious head injuries after apparently letting her murderer into her home in Kiln kiln (kĭl, kĭln), furnace for firing pottery and enamels, for making brick, charcoal, lime, and cement, for roasting ores, and for drying various substances (e.g., lumber, chemicals).  Lane, Brambridge, near Winchester, Hampshire.

Police said her son Henry, 52, found her body on Friday evening.

Det Chief Insp Paul Barton Paul Thomas Barton (born October 9, 1935, Wellington) is a former New Zealand cricketer who played in 7 Tests from 1961 to 1963.  said: "At the moment there is no sign of forced entry.

"However, Mrs Edmonds was of a generation who would leave their house unlocked. It would be normal the house was unlocked if she was at home."
