Coopers & Lybrand Introduces News And Information Customized For Telecommunications Industry Via Pointcast Business Network.


NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 17, 1997--Leading telecommunications industry advisor Coopers & Lybrand L.L.P. is bringing a unique informational resource to town -- a new edition of the PointCast(R) Business Network geared specifically for telecommunications industry professionals. The Coopers & Lybrand created and supported "PointCast Business Network Telecommunications Insider" will broadcast via the Internet industry-specific news and information directly to the PCs of industry executives and their staffs. The announcement was made today at the Jupiter Developers Conference in San Francisco San Francisco (săn frănsĭs`kō), city (1990 pop. 723,959), coextensive with San Francisco co., W Calif., on the tip of a peninsula between the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay, which are connected by the strait known as the Golden .

Coopers & Lybrand is bringing together the most respected publishers, researchers, gurus and industry organizations to provide the latest telecommunications news and information to viewers' computer screens throughout the day. Original Coopers & Lybrand publications and studies will also be available through the network. The Telecommunications Insider will initially broadcast four channels of industry-specific content:

-The Telecom Buzz channel will deliver late-breaking news from the

world of telecommunications.

-The Management channel will provide information and insights relevant

to specific functional areas, such as finance, IT, sales and marketing,

and legal.

-The Services and Equipment channels will contain information on, about

and from telecom service providers as well as telecom hardware
