CooperVision announces completion of contact lens manufacturing plant expansion in Scottsville, NY; Dedication set for August 24, 1995.


FAIRPORT, N.Y.--(HealthWire)--Aug. 7, 1995--CooperVision Inc., a subsidiary of The Cooper Companies Inc. (NYSE NYSE

:COO), announced today the completion of a 15,000 square foot addition to their manufacturing plant in Scottsville, NY. The addition, which nearly doubles the size of the existing facility, was built to accommodate the company's rapid growth.

This expansion will result in an additional 50 new jobs over the next twelve months bringing to 100 the number of new jobs added to CooperVision in the last three years.

Commenting on the completion of the facility, A. Thomas Bender, President and Chief Executive Officer of CooperVision Inc., noted, "We are extremely committed to the Rochester community and will continue to invest in facilities and people here. As we continue to grow and add new products, the number of job opportunities will also continue to grow."
