Petroleum products, tires, washing machines, heavy machinery, and plastic goods are among its many manufactures. , OH, received government approval to acquire 51% of Shandong Shandong or Shantung (both: shän-d ng) [east of the (Taishan) mountains], province (1994 est. pop. 86,520,000), c.59,000 sq mi (152,850 sq km), NE China. Chengshan Tire, China's third-largest Chinese-owned tire manufacturer.
