Cooper Square Realty starts $10mM improvement project.


The project management division of Cooper Square Cooper Square is a junction of streets in Manhattan, New York City. It is at the confluence of the neighborhoods of The Bowery, the East Village and the Lower East Side. It is fed directly from the south by Bowery at East Fourth Street which becomes Third Avenue after Saint Mark's  Realty realty n. a short form of "real estate." (See: real estate)

 has begun a major $10 million property enhancement program at Village View, a community of seven cooperative buildings between East Third and East Fifth Streets, extending from First Avenue to Avenue A in Manhattan's East Village.

Cooper Square Realty has already completed the first phase of its improvement program, installation of a state-of-the-art heating plant to service the entire complex. According to according to

Other major improvements planned for the buildings at Village View include the renovation of lobbies, installation of new windows and terrace doors, and repairs to existing balconies. Light fixtures will also be updated to be more energy efficient.

Cooper Square Realty is working in conjunction with NYSERDA NYSERDA New York State Energy Research and Development Authority  and The Department of Housing Preservation and Development to coordinate all capital improvements at Village View. Renovations are expected to be completed by the end of 2005.

"The improvements at Village View will not only extend the life of the buildings, they will also provide a better living environment for all residents."
