Cooper Power Systems Announces New Leadership in Booming Business Sector; Appointment of Steve Benna Puts Focus on Commercial and Industrial Opportunities.


WAUKESHA, Wis. -- Cooper Power Systems announced today the appointment of Steve Benna to the newly created position of vice president, sales and marketing, for its fast-growing commercial, industrial and original equipment manufacturing (C&I/OEM) business. Benna will report directly to Cooper Power Systems' Group President Mike Stoessl.

Cooper Power Systems plans to increase its focus on the C&I/OEM market in order to expand its business with heavy users of electricity in both commercial and key industrial segments that purchase power at medium- and high-voltage levels.

"Steve has held a number of senior management positions with Cooper Power Systems and has been instrumental in driving growth for many of our businesses," Stoessl said. "His background and experience provide the strong capabilities we need to extend our products and services to this growing segment."

Benna, a graduate of Stevens Institute of Technology Stevens is known for its rigorous engineering, science, and technological management curricula. Among the prominent research centers of Stevens is the Davidson Laboratory, Wireless Network Security Center, Keck Geotechnical Laboratory, Plasma Physics Laboratory, Nicoll Environmental , has been with Cooper Power Systems since 1990, most recently as vice president of marketing. He previously served as vice president and general manager of its components and protective equipment business. He will continue to be based out of the Cooper Power Systems' Badger Drive facility in Waukesha.
