Cooper Lighting Names New Fiber Optics Line: Optiance by Super Vision.


ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 9, 1999--Super Vision International, Inc. (Nasdaq:SUPVA) (Class A Common), a world leader in the manufacture of fiber optic lighting systems, recently announced that Cooper Lighting, a subsidiary of Cooper Industries Cooper Industries NYSE: CBE is one of the oldest large companies in the United States, having been founded in 1833 as a partnership in Mount Vernon, Ohio.

), has created the brand name, Optiance by Super Vision, for its new fiber optic lighting product line serving the architectural lighting market.

The creation of the brand name is the next step to follow a signed agreement between Super Vision International and Cooper Lighting that grants Cooper exclusive marketing and distribution rights in North America North America, third largest continent (1990 est. pop. 365,000,000), c.9,400,000 sq mi (24,346,000 sq km), the northern of the two continents of the Western Hemisphere.  for Super Vision's architectural fiber optic lighting products.

Cooper Lighting officially announced the brand name Optiance by Super Vision at the company's four regional meetings for its architectural lighting representatives held in February. The brand name will be incorporated into all of Cooper Lighting's literature, trade show materials and training seminars.
