Lorraine Iverson Recognized by Working Woman Magazine as Best Employer

for Entrepreneurial Achievements

Cooper Iverson Marketing (CIM), a San Diego-based high technology public relations firm, today announced that CEO Lorraine Iverson was honored by Working Woman magazine with the West Coast regional Entrepreneurial Excellence Award in the category of Best Employer. Iverson was recognized at an all day event held Monday January 29, 2001, at the Hotel Nikko in San Francisco. The Entrepreneurial Excellence Awards acknowledge the accomplishments and success of women business owners.

The third annual Entrepreneurial Excellence Awards recognize the accomplishments of women business owners in a variety of categories including, sole proprietor/home business, original product or service, social responsibility, best employer, overcoming obstacles, customer/client service and general excellence. A panel of judges reviewed nearly 100 nominations to select the winners in the West Coast region. Winners recognized at the San Francisco event along with the winners of five other regional events are finalists for the National Awards ceremony to be held in April.

CIM was also recognized in November of 2000 by the San Diego Society for Human Resource Management (SDSHRM) with a Workplace Excellence award in the category of small business. In its first year, this award recognizes companies that demonstrate innovative human resource practices that lend to the individual success of the employees and the company as a whole. Iverson's recent Workplace Excellence and Best Employer honors can be attributed to her unique philosophy to compensate company employees in non-traditional ways. All CIM team members share in the success of the company via a generous profit sharing program under which 40 percent of the company's profits are distributed back to employees on a quarterly basis.
