) announced that a shelf registration has been filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission to facilitate the sale of Cooper's holdings of Cooper Cameron Corporation (NYSE:RON) stock.

Cooper owns 3,625,000 shares, or 14.4 percent of Cooper Cameron's outstanding shares, which Cooper retained after its mid-year 1995 Cooper Cameron Exchange Offer.
