Chant, the North Country's largest law firm, has acquired another Berlin firm, Bergeron, Hanson and Bornstein. The acquisition follows the appointment of attorney Peter Bornstein as associate justice of the New Hampshire Superior Court The New Hampshire Superior Court is the statewide court of general jurisdiction which provides jury trials in civil and criminal cases. There are 11 locations of the Superior Court, one for each county and two in Hillsborough County. . Bornstein joined Bergeron, Hanson and Bornstein in 1981 and has practiced law for 28 years. Cooper Cargill said it will retain all four Bergeron, Hanson staff members in the Berlin office, including two paralegals, as well as the historic downtown Berlin location.
