The cutest little bigheaded, golden-yellow duck sits on the cover, and next the endpapers of green bull-rushes entice the reader inside. Little Twitching goes through his day of small adventures amidst strong swathes of primary colours. Action and landscape are conveyed with strong, simple, boldly curving, flowing shapes. The large clear white text stands out sharply against azure-sky backgrounds with a four-line rhyme accompanying each double page spread. While the rhyming text is rather predictable, it tells a comforting story of a small duckling facing his fears and growing up with his caring mother beside him.
