Cool clean makeover.

A couple of years ago Richard Meier's website was offhand to a degree--as we described it then, 'infrequently tended'. Now it has been revamped with quite a lot of changing and zooming images, elegantly arranged text, lots of white, like the architecture, and utterly simple and accessible. Projects can be checked out alphabetically or by date or type. Click on 66 and, following a brief period, measured by a horizontally sliding bar mapping loading time, up pops a Golden Section box with a square image of this New York restaurant on the left and the explanatory text in sans serif on the right. You can view two more images of the same place, deploy an unobtrusively dotted grey-on-white slider to read more text--and, where the previous text was a tad florid, this is pretty much plain and descriptive. You can also click on a bibliography to see where to read reviews. Michael Palladino runs the West Coast office. If only his parents had left off the n and called him Andy. But then he might have become a dentist.
