Cool Colorado stuff.

PSOLAR FACEMASKS: Working at the time as a mechanical engineer--designing HVAC systems for industrial buildings--Lee Bagby came up with a new concept for winter warming in 1996. His Psolar facemasks utilize a "heat exchanger" that catches the heat from every breath the wearer exhales, and then uses that heat to warm cold air that they inhale. Clinical studies have shown that the heat exchanger--made of desiccant-coated plastic--makes a definite difference in the skin temperature of test subjects. After inspiration struck, Bagby went back to school, graduating from the University of Colorado Executive MBA Program before starting the company in 2002. Psolar's target market: "Everybody who works and plays in cold weather"--a group that includes Bagby himself. "I wear them Friday nights to my son's football games," he said. "It makes a tremendous difference." $35 to $40 retail.
