Cook Incorporated Prevails in German Patent Nullification Case Filed by Boston Scientific.

The German Federal Patent Court has rejected a request from Boston Scientific Corporation asking the court to nullify nul·li·fy

 Cook Incorporated's German patent covering its Gianturco Z stent design, Cook officials announced today.

The Cook Z(R) Stent is a core technology employed in many of Cook's leading medical devices, including the new Zenith(TM) AAA AAA: see American Automobile Association.

In its complaint, Boston Scientific claimed Cook's Z stent design was not novel and asked the court to nullify Germany's recognition of Cook's patent on this technology. The court rejected those claims and dismissed the complaint.
