Its products enhance the performance of medical devices and biomaterials through the use of pharmacotherapeutics.  for the use of paclitaxel paclitaxel /pac·li·tax·el/ (pak?li-tak´sel) an antineoplastic that promotes and stabilizes polymerization of microtubules, isolated from the Pacific yew tree (Taxus brevifolia);  to coat implantable medical devices prior to signing these new distribution and licensing agreements with Guidant," said John DeFord, Ph.D., president and chief executive officer of Cook(R) Incorporated.
