Cook, Hall & Hyde, Inc. recently announced that Matthew Smith has joined the agency as an account executive in its Commercial Insurance Division. Mr. Smith comes to the position with a proven track record in exceeding sales goals and a solid background in the financial and construction industries.

Directly prior to joining Cook, Hall & Hyde, Mr. Smith served as a sales manager with Sterling National Mortgage, where he supervised a team of mortgage loan officers and managed the team's day-to-day operations, including lead management, deal structuring and sales training. Also within the financial sector, he served as a team manager at Countrywide Home Loans, consulting with clients refinancing or purchasing new homes, while effectively positioning the best product and managing loan risk. As a project manager with SLS Construction, Mr. Smith supervised all subcontractors in teams of up to 40 people, serving as the liaison between the company and homeowners, and facilitating quality control.
