Michaela's Animal Road Trip (Five, 6pm)

LET'S just be clear about this - Michaela Strachan isn't rounding up a bunch of animals like Noah and putting them into a camper van before setting off on a road trip across the country. Instead, in each daily episode, the Countryfile presenter steps into the shoes of Britain's most dedicated animal carers to provide life-saving support for injured in·jure

In the final episode of the week, Michaela visits Blackbrook Zoological Park in Staffordshire for hatching season, which sees new baby birds born every day. There she meets keeper Jacklyn Pearson and the two sandhill crane sandhill crane

Crane species (Grus canadensis family Gruidae), 35–43 in. (90–110 cm) long, with a red crown, a bluish or brownish gray body tinged with sandy yellow, and a long, harsh, penetrating call. It is one of the oldest of all existing bird species.
