Conwoman too ill to work.

A WOMAN who conned hundreds of pounds out of a kind hearted pensioner by telling him she had cancer and needed money to visit hospital for treatment,has been placed on a community rehabilitation order.

But Flintshire magistrates heard yesterday Kathleen Jane Brick was now genuinely ill -too ill to do her community punishment.Brick, 27, was waiting for surgery and was unable to do her unpaid hours and had only completed 22 of the 240 hours given to her.

Flintshire magistrates revoked the order and placed her on a 12 month rehabilitation order instead.
