Conway Stuart Medical, Inc., the developer of new treatments for digestive system disorders, today announced that John W. Morgan has been named president and chief executive officer. The Company's founder, Stuart Edwards, who most recently was president and CEO, will remain on the Company's Board of Directors. Morgan brings over seventeen years of experience in management of healthcare manufacturers and joins the Company at an important time, as its novel treatment for gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), called the Stretta(TM) procedure, proceeds through clinical studies.

Since 1997, Mr. Morgan has served as president and CEO of Epitope, Inc., (NASDAQ/NMS: EPTO) of Beaverton, Oregon, which develops, manufactures and markets medical devices and diagnostic products utilizing its proprietary oral fluid technologies for sale to public and private-sector clients worldwide. Prior to that, he served as President-Americas, Regent Medical Products Group for London International Group, PLC. He has also held several senior management positions including President Mid-American Region Company for Baxter International, a global leader in the healthcare industry.
