Converted chapel and school house has breathtaking views.


This former chapel/school house is surrounded by breathtaking countryside with views of the Roman Wall.

The Old School House, in Cawburn, near Haltwhistle, in Northumberland, dates back to 1874 and has been sympathetically converted.

It is in a secluded rural location, yet only three miles from the market town of Haltwhistle, which has a good range of facilities and road links to Newcastle in the east and Carlisle in the west.

The Old School House has an entrance hall, study and unusual living/dining room with open fireplace and gallery landing. The living/dining room was formed from the original chapel and school room and has two large west-facing lancet lancet /lan·cet/ (lan´set) a small, pointed, two-edged surgical knife.
