Rupp announced today the appointment of James E. Solomon, 41, as the Company's new Senior Vice President, Marketing.

Mr. Rupp stated "Jim brings extensive worldwide marketing and business experience to his new position as Senior Vice President, Marketing as well as a strong background in the athletic footwear industry." Mr. Solomon's athletic footwear background includes: Avia Athletic Footwear, Portland, OR, as Vice President, Marketing from 1985-1988; Kangaroos Kangaroos
