The m-commerce infrastructure developed by IIS will be speech-enabled by the speech-recognition and text-to-speech engine from Conversay, ported to a Phone.com microbrowser A Web browser designed for small display screens on smartphones and other handheld wireless devices. "Together, we're overcoming user interface issues confronting m-commerce," said Matt Scheuing, executive VP of marketing and sales at Conversay. "Users won't have to contend with difficult or frustrating frus·trate

As the first company to implement this m-commerce solution, IIS has dedicated its Wireless Center of Excellence to deploying this and other wireless technologies. Executives at both companies said the cooperation originated because they share a common partner, Phone.com.
