Convergys Corporation, the global leader in integrated billing and customer care services, has signed a three-year agreement to provide cable and broadband billing services to Cablemas, Mexico's second-largest cable provider by number of subscribers.

The company currently operates 20 systems in 26 cities and has plans to expand to a minimum of 20 new cities in the near future.

Convergys will upgrade Cablemas from its current CableMaster 2000 billing system to Convergys' state-of-the-art Integrated Communications Operations Management System (ICOMS(TM)). Created specifically to support the convergence of video, high-speed data, and telephony services, ICOMS is a robust and market-proven solution that provides cable and broadband service providers with unmatched control and flexibility to sharpen their competitive edge, expand market penetration, and increase revenues.

The Cablemas billing and customer care operation will benefit from such new capabilities as an enhanced single view of the customer across multiple services; work order staging; improved calling plan aggregation; and increased size and flexibility of marketing and rating tables.
