Convergys opens second center in Bangalore. (Happenings).
Convergys Convergys (NYSE: CVG) is a multi-national corporation that provides management consulting services, outsourced billing, customer care and employee care, and transaction management software. Corporation recently announced it will open its second
integrated contact center in India in Bangalore. When the facility
reaches its production capacity of approximately 1,500 seats, Convergys
will have two of the largest, multi-client, U.S.-company-owned contact
centers in India. Full employment at the new contact center is expected
to exceed 3,000 employees in the next 12 to 14 months. Located in
Bangalore, India's "Silicon Plateau plateau, elevated, level or nearly level portion of the earth's surface, larger in summit area than a mountain and bounded on at least one side by steep slopes, occurring on land or in oceans. ," the contact center
will provide both general support and advanced technical help desk
services to a variety of Convergys' clients via traditional voice
calling, e-mail and Web chat as well as back-office application and

proximity to several other multinational companies such as IBM (International Business Machines Corporation, Armonk, NY, www.ibm.com) The world's largest computer company. IBM's product lines include the S/390 mainframes (zSeries), AS/400 midrange business systems (iSeries), RS/6000 workstations and servers (pSeries), Intel-based servers (xSeries) and
Oracle.
