Convergys and RCN Sign 5-Year Contract for Convergent Voice, Video, and Data Billing Solution; ICOMS Selected as Best Solution to Support RCN's Rollout of Bundled Services.

Convergys Corporation (NYSE:CVG), the global leader in integrated billing and customer care services, announced today it has signed a five-year contract with RCN Corporation (Nasdaq:RCNC) to license ICOMS, a convergent voice, video and data billing and customer care solution for cable and broadband service providers.

RCN is the first and largest U.S. facilities-based competitive provider of bundled phone, cable television, and high-speed Internet services with more than 1 million customer connections in the most densely populated markets in the United States. The company's ResiLink bundled services offering is marketed to more than 400,000 households. RCN expects to transition all RCN markets to ICOMS within the next 12 to 18 months.
