Convergys and Logica Win Phase Two of Major Billing Project With Connect Austria -- ONE --.

-- Over 1.3 Million GSM Customers Being Migrated to Geneva --

Convergys Corporation (NYSE:CVG), the global leader in integrated billing and customer care services, today announced that Austrian mobile operator ONE will use Geneva(TM) Active Revenue Management (ARM) software to replace its legacy billing system.

ONE will migrate all of its GSM customers to Geneva in a major implementation project supported by Logica. In February, Convergys and Logica announced their joint project at ONE and the selection of Geneva to support the delivery of ONE's GPRS services.

ONE, which was awarded a UMTS license in November 2000, provides 97 percent coverage in Austria. The company, which was founded in October 1998 and is now owned by E.ON, Telenor, Orange, and Tele Danmark, has experienced a dramatic growth in subscriber numbers, rising from 0.5 million at the end of 1999 to reach over 1.3 million by the summer of 2001.

Convergys' Geneva software was selected as the company's new billing system because of its scalability, robustness, and its sophisticated functionality. Geneva's unique flexibility and modularity are allowing ONE to phase out its legacy billing software gradually. Geneva has already been in live use for several months rating GPRS events, with these rated events being billed in the legacy system. ONE has now moved to the next step in its staged implementation plan with the introduction of Geneva to rate and bill all services. Geneva is being integrated with Comptel's mediation platform, with SAP and with ONE's CRM system. The Geneva software will also be integrated with the company's data warehouse system in order to allow sophisticated analysis of customer spending patterns. Logica is supporting the implementation and migration of ONE's 1.3 million GSM customers.

ONE has an ambitious schedule for the migration project, in particular because of the requirement to be ready for full Euro-compliance by the end of 2001 and to be able to support the many new services being introduced with UMTS. Peter Pedersen, CIO of ONE, says that Geneva's well-documented APIs make the task of integrating it with existing software straightforward. "We are confident that the migration of our large number of subscribers to Geneva will be completed on time and that we will be Euro-compliant well before the deadline."

When all GSM subscribers have been migrated to Geneva, the legacy billing system will be phased out and Geneva will be used for rating and billing all services, including not only mobile voice and data but also fixed line telephony and Internet services.

Logica and Convergys EMEA are already working together on a number of projects in Europe. Projects already completed include implementations for a Czech telecommunications operator, for a value-added SMS French operator and for BT Genie, the world's first exclusively online mobile Internet phone service provider, which started as a UK project and is now being rolled out across their European subsidiaries.
