New and improved functionality includes enhanced support for next-generation services, end-to-end high availability of pre-paid services, expanded OSS and content partner support, improved Web GUI configurability for improved workflow processing and ease of use, and strengthened real-time capabilities.

-- Expanded marketing options for next-generation services: Operators can use
Atlys' dynamic event definition to configure new services quickly as they bring
next-generation convergent offerings to market. Operators can also build
customer loyalty and drive revenue growth through greater flexibility in
configuring threshold alarms and one-time promotional service packages.

-- More seamless integration with content providers and third-party
applications: Release 9.1 builds on Atlys' open architecture with additional
XML application programming interfaces (API) across numerous subsystems. These
APIs further enhance Atlys' ability to interface and communicate with external
OSS software and content provider systems, to enhance partner relationship
management.

-- Enhanced integrated pre-paid capabilities: Enhancements to Atlys' mediation
gateway and core rating engine enable end-to-end high availability for pre-paid
services, virtually eliminating downtime, reducing revenue loss and increasing
revenue assurance.

The new Atlys release also features the ability to operate as a charging gateway function (CGF) for GPRS networks to mediate events across network devices, eliminating the need for operators to purchase CGF network nodes and allowing operators to choose their own third-party CGF if they prefer. Release 9.1 also provides enhanced Web GUI configuration for improved workflow processing of provisioning updates. Operators can leverage this robust functionality to reduce network complexity, streamline call center workflow and offer competitive price plans and service packages.

Real-time capabilities are additionally upgraded with real-time account level sharing and balance inquiries.
