Located in the city's Oriental Plaza office complex, part of Beijing's emerging Central Business District, the Convergys office provides business development and customer support to Convergys clients in the People's Republic of China (PRC), including Hong Kong, and the Republic of Korea.

James F. Orr, Convergys' Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer, attended the official opening ceremony along with other top Convergys executives. Participating with Mr. Orr in the September 25 event were Robert J. Marino, President of Convergys Information Management Group; Stephen Robertson, President of Convergys International; James Dahmus, Vice President of Business Development for Convergys in Asia Pacific; and Steven Szeto, General Manager of Convergys Asia Pacific.

Convergys' award-winning global billing product portfolio will help operators advance the telecommunications industry in China and the Asia Pacific region by enabling the quick and cost-effective launch of new services, including 3G offerings. The company's billing and customer care solutions targeted for this region are used today by leading wireless, wireline, and cable, satellite and DDT operators around the world. All products feature double-byte capability to support local languages.
