Convergys Debuts Atlys Wireless Billing Solution in Europe With France's Leading Mobile Operator -- Orange France Selects Atlys Billing Solution to Support Carrier's UMTS Launch.

Convergys Corporation (NYSE:CVG), the global leader in integrated billing and customer care services, announced today it has signed its first major European Atlys(R) wireless billing contract. The company has licensed its Atlys Billing and Customer Care Solution to Orange France (formerly known as France Telecom Mobile), part of the Orange / France Telecom Group (NYSE:FTE). Convergys will also manage implementation and integration of the Atlys solution.

In addition, the contract contains a significant international provision -- a framework agreement establishing a special relationship between Convergys and France Telecom that would allow the Orange Group to use Atlys in its numerous global affiliates.

Orange France, France's leading mobile operator with more than 15 million subscribers, will use Atlys to sell its future 3G services GPRS and UMTS. The first version of Atlys will be in operation in mid-2002. In addition, Orange France plans to migrate its more than 15 million existing subscribers to the Atlys solution within three years. Orange France is part of the Orange / France Telecom Group which has operations in 20 countries around the world. As of March 2001, Orange / France Telecom has more than 33 million subscribers.
