Convergys Corporation Appoints Renee Kuwahara President, Direct Broadcast Satellite Business Unit.

CINCINNATI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 30, 1999--

Convergys Corporation announces the appointment of Renee Kuwahara as president of its Direct Broadcast Satellite (DBS) Business Unit in its Customer Management Group. She is responsible for managing all aspects of the DBS unit including its business objectives, profitability, facility management, sales support, and client development. She reports to Ron Schultz, Convergys Customer Management Group's Chief Operating Officer.

Prior to her current position, Ms. Kuwahara held similar responsibilities as general manager of the DBS business unit.

Previously, Ms. Kuwahara served as vice president of operations, DIRECTV, at MATRIXX Marketing, a Convergys predecessor. Her responsibilities included managing client relationships and operations, building and staffing three new call centers, and managing more than 2000 call center agents in a multiple site call center environment.

She also has served as a call center director for Fidelity Investments and in the data processing and customer outsourcing units of Electronic Data Systems' financial service division.

Ms. Kuwahara holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Michigan.

She and her husband Gerald reside in Salt Lake City.
