Convergys Appoints Robertson President of Convergys International - Newton Becomes President of Convergys EMEA.

Convergys Corporation (NYSE:CVG), the global leader in integrated billing, employee care, and customer care services, announced today the appointment of Stephen L. Robertson to the position of President - Convergys International. At the same time, Convergys announced the appointment of Stephen Newton to the position of President - Convergys Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). Both positions are located at the Convergys Centre in Cambridge, UK, and were effective June 1.

As President of Convergys International, Robertson has responsibility for all Convergys business outside North America. This includes Convergys' existing business operations in the EMEA, Latin America, and the Asia Pacific regions. Robertson was previously Executive Vice President of Operations and also President of Telecom Solutions for Convergys' Information Management Group. He has over 27 years of telecommunications experience.

According to Dave Dougherty, Convergys' Chief Development Officer, "Achieving substantial growth in our international business by significantly increasing our focus on major markets, such as EMEA, Latin America, and the Asia Pacific region is a stated Convergys goal. The appointments of Steve Robertson and Steve Newton strongly support our international growth plans."

Newton, who was General Manager of Convergys EMEA, replaces Stephen Thomas. He joined Convergys EMEA in February 1999 as Vice President, Marketing, and was appointed General Manager in September 2000.

Thomas, who had previously been CEO of Geneva Technology Ltd., stepped down from his day-to-day operations role with Convergys but remains an advisor to the company. Commenting on these changes, Thomas said the appointment of Steve Robertson to head Convergys International is a clear commitment to continue to grow Convergys' business outside of North America and that he was pleased to help Convergys move in that direction as the President of EMEA. He said he was also delighted to be able to hand over the management of Convergys EMEA to Steve Newton who played an important role in the successful growth and leadership of Geneva Technologies Ltd.
