LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 1, 1999--Convergys (SM) Corporation (NYSE:CVG), the world leader in providing outsourced, integrated, customer care and billing for communications companies, announced today at the GSM World Congress in Cannes, that its record-breaking information management solution will soon support the GSM international standard. Convergys recently reported that key components of the solution set a record by supporting the acquisition of two million new mobile subscribers during the fourth quarter, 1998.

This new record reflects the exponential growth of the mobile industry. For example, the Strategis Groups expect the estimated 1998 year-end base of 114 million GSM subscribers in the world to easily surpass 356 million in 2003.
