Convergent Media Systems Appoints Robert Waldrup Director of Federal Programs.

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 6, 2001

Waldrup maintains an office in Waterford, Virginia Waterford is an unincorporated village in Loudoun County, Virginia located along Catoctin Creek. Waterford is located in the Loudoun Valley seven miles northwest of Leesburg and 47 miles northwest of Washington, D.C. , northwest of the nation's capital.

Waldrup is responsible for enhancing Convergent's sub-contractor relationship with AT&T on its government-wide access contract (GWAC GWAC Government Wide Acquisition Contract

) for satellite services. Waldrup also will work closely with AT&T to identify and pursue new business in the government market, including introducing new distance learning services as they become available from Convergent.

Prior to joining Convergent, Waldrup provided consulting services for the Everest Group, a Dallas-based firm specializing in the management of outsourcing engagements. He was with Electronic Data Services (EDS (Electronic Data Systems, Plano, TX, www.eds.com) Founded in 1962 by H. Ross Perot (independent candidate for the President of the U.S. in 1992), EDS is the largest outsourcing and data processing services organization in the country. ) for nine years before that, working in the commercial insurance, human performance services and government services groups.
