The Washington State Convention and
Trade Center completed a much-
anticipated expansion in July 2001,
which doubled its total exhibition
space to a total of 207,000 square
feet. One of the most dramatic
features of the expanded center is
a glass-enclosed function space
that rises above Pike Street and
boasts views of the city center,
Pike Place Market, and Elliot Bay.
The convention center occupies a
prime locale in the heart of
Seattle's retail and entertainment
district. Within a three-block
radius, convention attendees will
find musical and repertory
theaters, the Seattle Symphony
Orchestra, gourmet dining, and the
